Our client is a contract food manufacturer of salsas, sauces, marinades, drink mixes and refrigerated dips. The company is privately owned and operates a 30,000 square foot plant and warehouse in the Dallas area. We are audited by the SQF, the FDA and the Texas Department of Health and must be audit ready at all times to meet their requirements.
We are looking for an experienced facility maintenance technician to be part of the team to keep all buildings in top shape.

Our ideal candidate is someone who understands keeping various machine operational and running their best. Electrical / welding experience a plus.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintenance manufacturing experience preferred.
- Performs routine repair and maintenance work, proactive inspections and preventive maintenance on buildings and machinery.
- Knowledge and experience with electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
- Willingness to help out where needed.
- Willing to work urgently and under pressure to fix problems.
- Identifying and fixing building/facilities issues
- Ensuring the plant and facilities are audit ready for state and federal inspections
- Their duties may include making routine plumbing repairs, replacing light bulbs, inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems, and collaborating with other professionals during renovations.
- Knowledge of Power Tools, General Maintenance, Hand Tools
Requirements
- Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to work 6am – 4pm with after hours and weekends on occasion
- Experience in food manufacturing is required
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Hands on approach and willingness to be proactive and involved
- Cooperative attitude and willingness to work in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance repair and multi craft repairs.
- Carpentry and Plumbing
- Tig and stick welding – Fabrication
- Able to supply own tools
- Use electrical testing equipment volt-ohm meter, amp meter
