Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Provide basic patient care, such as changing bed linens, assisting with personal hygiene, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
- Assist in transferring and positioning patients to prevent pressure sores and ensure comfort.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions or needs to nursing staff promptly.
- Follow infection control protocols and adhere to safety standards to protect patients and staff.
- Support patients emotionally and socially, fostering a positive care environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Delaware.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- CPR certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, such as a nursing home or hospital, is preferred but not required.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and assist patients as needed.
