Job Overview…
We are seeking experienced/skilled technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience completing maintenance checks, diagnosing malfunctions, logging inspections, installing complex avionics equipment. This role requires a high-level of technical expertise and commitment to ensure all avionics equipment operates within safety and performance standards. One must be a problem solver, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about aircraft systems and parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft inspections and repairs to aircraft/avionics systems and components in accordance with our Part 145 repair station.
- Performs installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems per engineering specifications, schematics, manuals, and other documents to ensure a working system.
- Ensures and provides quality and efficiency of all installations: troubleshooting to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
- Demonstrates skills and knowledge required in adherence to the FAA Part 145 Repair Station to effectively and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity. Additionally, demonstrate effective techniques using common practices (pinning of wires, splicing, etc.)
- Can perform Pitot Static Tests on aircrafts listed in capability list.
- Have the minimum required tools to perform tasks
- An understanding of procedures for a Part 145 Repair Station, this includes the use of forms, tags, and required paperwork as outlined in International Avionics Management, Inc, RSM
- Maintain inventory of aircraft parts, supplies and equipment, and provide detailed records of work performed.
- In support of aircraft certification and final phase of testing, may include flight tests.
Required Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and schematics.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Spanish is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Analytical mind with a penchant for troubleshooting.
- Computer skills for downloading and installing new software in systems.
- The ability to lift 50lbs or more
- Extensive experience with power and hand tools, and knowledge of aircraft systems
- Collaborative mindset and experience working on a team.
