We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Intern to join our team for a comprehensive, 10-week paid summer internship program. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of sales and sales territory intelligence.

This role is ideally based in IDC’s Needham, MA headquarters with a hybrid work schedule. We will also consider qualified candidates in approved remote locations.

Responsibilities

  • Aggregate IDC’s spend data across 15 individual sales territories
  • Track penetration rates across product portfolio and industry verticals
  • Create target contact list within top 200 targets
  • Align large organization global IT leader titles to IT spend ranking criteria

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • A desire to launch a Sales career
  • The appropriate candidate will be well organized with an analytical mindset

  • Prior experience in sales or customer service is a plus but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and results-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
