Join us as an Electric Vehicle Controls Software Senior Engineer!
Our team is developing industry leading electrified propulsion vehicles for a greener future for the planet. We are looking for experienced engineers with motivation to lead and contribute to our development programs executing on a fast-paced agile team environment.
Responsibilities
- Meet domain based architectural allocations by reviewing design strategies, implementation details and interfaces to in-vehicle modules from suppliers, in-group brands, and internal groups.
- Establish development practices and SW environment for efficient design and validation of control SW functions within MBD.
- Create and innovate with algorithm designs embodying the control function requirements.
- Perform analysis to meet communication and interface requirements to modules in other domains.
- Review requirements and allocate to design components.
- Ensure requirement set remains consistent and free of conflicts to other domains and/or higher/lower context levels.
- Design, document, and validate EV domain SW functions integrating to the main SW build.
- Develop control algorithms using MBD tools and various computer languages using external and internally developed tools.
- Develop diagnostic functions to meet product and service diagnostic requirements.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues found in the field or during development.
- Analyze data from vehicles and participate in data analytics studies.
- Support program and management reviews.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist other functions like Systems, Calibration, Vehicle Integration, Electrical HW, ECU HW, as needed.
- Collaborative with other Agile teams across all Traton brands.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- At least 8 years of experience in product design/development
- At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities
OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- At least 6 years of experience in product design/development
- At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities
OR
- PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- At least 3 years of experience in product design/development
- At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
