What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Interstate Chemical?
Our family owned and operated chemical manufacturing company is looking for a reliable candidate to work in our warehouse picking and shipping customer orders. An outstanding Associate should be able to maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality.
Hours: This is a full-time position Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm with overtime opportunities available.
Job Responsibilities:
- Package chemicals from bulk to smaller containers
- Pull customer orders
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Inspects, selects, packages and labels products according to specifications.·
- Operates semi-automatic and automatic packaging equipment as needed.
- Routine checks and preventative maintenance of equipment
- Ensure on time delivery and quality objectives are met by properly coordinating production activities and achieving production goals.
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
- Keep warehouse clean and organized daily.
- Other general warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
- 2 years of hands-on experience in a warehouse environment
- Chemical experience is a plus
- Manufacturing, Assembly Line and/or packaging experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail
- Forklift experience
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
