Position: Housing Manager

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11238

Duration: 6 months contract with possibility of extension

Job Summary/ Essential Job Functions:

• The Housing Manager/Contract Manager Level 2 will assist with various duties related to Brooklyn Client Services operations including, but not limited to the following:

(1) Supervise Complaint Specialists and assign cases

(2) Ensure compliance with program rules and regulations

(3) Recruitment, evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions

(4) Prepare reports and provide recommendations

(5) Communicate with applicants, tenants, landlords and outside agencies

(6) Report system issues and suggest enhancements

(7) Gather and evaluate information to resolve issues and complaints.

(8) Respond to all forms of inquiries.

(9) Review 25% of eligibility case and review all rentals

(10) Create and process voucher extensions

(11) Disposition reasonable accommodation requests

(12) Create, and process payment adjustments

(13) Handles sensitive documents with deference

(14) Answer and track hotline calls

(15) Address escalated issues

(16) Conduct staff meetings

(17) Other miscellaneous BCS duties

The Contract Manager- Level 2 will require the following skill sets:

Knowledge of the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program and related compliance functions including the Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") rules and regulations

Extensive knowledge of the Siebel database

Proficiency in Word, Excel Outlook, and other database systems.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Exceptional customer service skills, professionalism, and proper email etiquette

Excellent detail-orientation and follow up skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and demands; analyze situations, identify problems, and offer solutions.

Minimum 1-year supervisory experience is required.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
