Our New Account Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service regarding daily banking transactions such that customer’s banking needs are met and expectations are exceeded. Position responsible for opening various types of accounts that best satisfies the customer’s desire and needs. Position will also assist customers with inquiries and problem resolutions in accordance with Iowa State Bank’s policies, standards and regulations. Every transaction should be viewed as an opportunity for new business development by making the customer aware of any product or service that may be of benefit to them.
Requirements:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities are intended to describe those functions that are essential to the performance of this position.
- Provides exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assessing customer needs. Answer questions regarding Bank products and services. Opens new deposit accounts. Manages customer portfolio, services relationships and cross sells appropriate products and services to meet customer needs, assuring customer satisfaction, and achieving personal and retail sales goals.
- Makes appropriate customer referrals to other Bank functional areas.
- Effectively handles more complex customer problems and inquiries as well as ensuring that resolution and follow-up are completed in an accurate and timely matter.
- Daily account maintenance with no or limited errors
- Handle customer transactions including but not limited to: account deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashing checks, check deposit hold, cash advances, stop payments, gift cards, and issue Cashier’s Checks.
- Answers telephone calls to assist customers with questions or requests
- Perform teller duties
- Perform bookkeeping functions including proofing, balancing, and processing of checks and bank tickets
- May be asked to travel to other branch locations to assist in new account duties as needed to ensure adequate coverage.

- As a part of the overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.
