Job Summary
Working under the North American (NA) Quality Manager, they will be deploying, implementing, training, and supporting all aspects of quality, within the organization’s manufacturing plants, considering the requirements and constraints of other business processes. This role requires leading multi-functional and multidisciplinary teams of representatives from the same and different plants, different processes, levels, and regions in North America. Having their office in a plant, the Quality Business Partner will be in the Montreal or Toronto regions and be assigned to the injection molding plants. As an agent of change, the incumbent will play a vital role in developing a culture based on prevention and continuous improvement. The QBP will lead projects and work directly with the Quality Managers, in addition to being a business partner with the Directors of Manufacturing and their plant leadership teams.
Principal Responsibilities
Ensure IPEX products always meet customer and IPEX quality requirements.
Develop and reinforce at the corporate level and with up to 6 Manufacturing plants the robustness of the quality processes and culture for quality prevention and continuous improvement.
Coordinate regular meetings with Quality Managers to exchange standard methodologies, discuss company-wide objectives, reinforce quality standards, conduct audits, carry out tests, and evaluate performance indicators. Develop action plans for improvement with them and monitor their implementation and efficiency.
Strengthen the capability of quality teams to meet expectations through training, coaching, mentoring, and on-site support. Be on-site in each plant regularly to review quality processes, compliance activities, etc. to determine areas of focused improvement needed.
Be the point of contact for product quality for other business processes (sales, product compliance, logistics, etc.) to identify quality issues, and develop solutions in conjunction with the manufacturing plants. Analyze customer complaints and nonconformities to identify trends and lead with quality managers the identification and implementation of action plans to prevent reoccurrence and support IPEX quality objectives and KPIs.
Lead specific quality improvement opportunities and CAPAs in conjunction with plant quality and the respective leadership team.
Use audit results from registrar and agencies to determine opportunities for improvement within the plants to reduce nonconformance findings.
Integrate newly acquired companies into the IPEX QMS and provide training within the plant.
Complete the Corporate internal auditing of IPEX QMS to ensure the efficiency of the quality management system.
Conduct and perform Risk Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Gage R and R Studies, and capability studies, to support the resolution of product or, process failures (Team problem solving; A3, 8D, 5Why, DMAIC process). Be able to apply appropriate use of statistical techniques.
Support IPEX PPAP (product part approval process)
Provide mentorship in handling quality risks associated with the manufacturing of pipe and fittings, along with services provided to customers, in accordance with applicable standards to the entire organization.

Qualifications & Experience
University Degree in Engineering or Science.
Certified ISO 9001-2015 Internal auditor is an asset.
Professional designation in quality
Green belt Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset.
Minimum 5 -10 years of practical experience as a quality management professional in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional groups.
Experience in Minitab is an asset but is proficient using MS office.
Strong understanding of statistical process control
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate with people, processes, and systems.
Ability to be flexible and highly adaptive in a fast-paced environment.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Requires up to 30% travel within North America (Canada and US) but could vary depending on the needs of the business. The successful candidate will need to maintain their right to travel between Canada and the US throughout their employment with IPEX.
