Job Description
IRI is seeking a senior-level nursing and health care professional to assume the role of Director of Nursing Services. In this role you will be responsible to provide direct supervision to a cadre of nurses and clinical direction in collaboration with outside health care providers as well as with the Director of Care Management and the Director of Clinical Services. The Director of Nursing Services will review hospital and nursing home discharge summaries, medical consultation from health care provider visits, documents as necessary in nursing notes, actions to be taken, attend clinical meetings, perform annual nursing assessments and provide basic phone and video triaging. As needed the Director of Nursing Services will teach the AMAP or diabetes class and on a routine basis prescribe medications as needed. The Director of Nursing will provide other relevant training to include but not limited to infection control, seizure management, personal hygiene to direct support, clinical and front line staff and management through annual trainings and new hire orientation as well as tailored clinical sessions in special cases This position requires some traveling in Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Long Island. Seventy five percent of IRI footprint is in Queens.

- You have a Bachelor's degree in nursing
- You must have a masters in nursing or public administration
- You have a Registered Nurse License
- You have a current and valid license as a prescriber as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- You have a minimum of 10 year of experience in nursing in a supervisory capacity; five of which must be in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Must have a car with a valid driver's license in good standing
- You have to be system oriented and a self starter
- You are organized and detail-oriented
- You are technology savvy
- You are a strong team player and highly energetic
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9AM to 5PM and as needed. There is some flexibility
