Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records of the company. They are responsible for producing financial reports and guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.

Essential Functions

• Regularly update financial records, including A/R and A/P entries
• Complete check deposits
• Monitor and update the company's 90-day cash flow forecast
• Engage with Customer Success team regarding customer payment inquiries, electronic payment form adjustments, etc.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Perform month close and monthly financial reports

• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company

• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

• BS degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics

• CPA , EA, CFA or similar credential preferred
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Prior Big Four or regional accounting firm experience preferred 
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns

• Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Proficient user of finance software
