Lab Network Engineer

Scope of the position:
Work Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm PST, onsite in Santa Clara
Work Days: M-F

Scope of work:
- Install / remove equipment in lab racks based on ticket assignment
- Make copper or fiber cable connections based on ticket assignment (1G, 10G, 40G ; LC or MPO)
- Technical knowledge, skill, aptitude:
- VMware ESXi installation & basic troubleshooting
- Ubuntu OS installation
- Server troubleshooting: wont boot, RAM or HD installs
- networking knowledge/concepts of: ipv4, ipv6, dhcp, dns, routing, firewalls

Qualifications:
- Open minded, can do, will do attitude
- Prompt, quick to react and closure
- Able to evaluate a situation and execute the best, quickest, easiest
- Can work alone or as part of a small team
- Knowledge and skills in: VMware, Ubuntu, networking understanding/concepts (ipv4, ipv6, dhcp, dns, routing, firewalls), fiber & copper cabling
