Job Description: The Business Analyst will play a key role in identifying and defining business needs, translating them into system requirements, and outlining the scope of solutions. This role involves creating standards, policies, processes, and procedures, as well as conducting business process analysis, needs assessments, and cost-benefit evaluations to understand the impact on the business.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with users and product owners to understand their needs and expectations.
- Develop detailed business requirements and functional specifications for Agile development teams, and manage the approval process for these requirements and stories.
- Become a subject matter expert on the assigned application portfolio, understanding business logic and processes to design solutions for new requirements and address business problems.
- Identify, track, report, and resolve issues promptly, working with customers and developers to implement necessary changes. Assist in tracking delivery and ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Evaluate and participate in solution alternatives with development teams, ensuring that business solutions align with corporate standards.
- Negotiate technical and non-technical solutions that meet business user needs and adhere to technical architecture.
- Assess and recommend improvements to enhance organizational effectiveness and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop a test strategy, create and review test cases, and support functional testing.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test strategy development, review of test cases, and setup of testing environments and data.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, management, technical staff, and end users. Lead regular communication and user group meetings with business stakeholders.
- Gather, consolidate, and refine data to produce executive, operational, and management-level reports and analysis.
- Minimum Required: BS/BA degree or equivalent business and technical experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in Business Analysis and Project Management, preferably in Financial or Banking applications.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to create flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and UI mockups.
