J&B Installations, Inc. is a commercial and industrial roofing contractor specializing in EPDM, PVC, and TPO membranes. We are family owned and operated and have been the leading commercial roofing company in New York State for over 40 years.

This part-time position provides administrative and secretarial support to the office, is responsible for handling routine office duties, such as screening incoming calls, ordering office supplies, bank runs, organizational event planning and report and invoicing service calls.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

  • Answers all incoming telephone calls within three rings and provides information and assists callers or transfers calls to the appropriate staff person.
  • Greets visitors to the office and directs them to the appropriate staff person.
  • Opens, sorts, and distributes mail to each department.
  • Plans company events.
  • Orders office supplies and stocks kitchen
  • Backup to Administrative Project Assistant
  • Records service calls, gives to Scheduling Coordinator, Invoices customers

Minimum Qualification Standards:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years experience in an office environment required
  • Valid NYS Drivers License and reliable vehicle
  • Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.
  • Some analytical ability to gather and summarize data, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
  • Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional and helpful manner in person or via phone or written correspondence.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast paced, stressful environment.
