Are you looking for an accounting/finance position to accelerate your skills? We are adding to our finance team.

We are searching for a Payroll Specialist who is responsible for helping assist other members of our Accounting Department with all aspects of weekly payroll processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all employment verifications
  • Complete requests for information from unions
  • Maintain organized up-to-date payroll files and documentation, ensuring compliance with recordkeeping and audit requirements.
  • Respond to employee questions and information requests as it relates to Payroll.
  • Lead support to travelling employees in entering and approving timecards into payroll system
  • Serves as a primary back-up to Sr. Payroll Specialist payroll processing duties
  • Schedule tax payments, child support payments, and monthly fringe payments
  • Responsible for weekly and salary payroll processing
  • Provide timely and accurate response to all unemployment wage audits
  • Assist with W2 preparation and year end reconciliation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a payroll or related financial roles preferred
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, on computers and other electronic devices
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
