Sanitation Lead

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facility. Ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining proper control and cleaning of the entire plant to ensure all products are produced in a hygienically clean facility. Willing and capable of being professionally trained and will assist the department leaders in their efforts to build a sustainable team and sanitation program. Capable of assisting with the critically important task of cleaning the line and facility to ensure products are produced on clean equipment, in a hygienic environment. Being the change that makes the facility and company better. Capable and totally committed to assisting the department & company to meet or exceed compliance expectations. Capable of empowering team members and other co-workers to consistently perform above expectations.

Responsibilities

• Reference the Tech I and Tech II job descriptions for specific requirements.
• A Tech III Foreman must be proficient in all the requirements and responsibilities for the Tech I and Tech II job descriptions.
• Oversee the day-to-day functions and responsibilities of the sanitation department.
• Proficient with assigning team member tasks that consistently benefit the sanitation goals.
• Willing and capable of performing all job responsibilities (to or above expectations) if the team is challenged with labor.
• Proficient with professionally training others on the 7 steps of sanitation essentials.
• Proficient with professionally training others on safe chemical handling, uses and PPE.
• Proficient with verifying and validating critical sanitation responsibilities.
• Professionally trained & qualified to make decisions on whether to move to post- sanitation inspections.
• Manage chemical and sanitation supply inventory.
• Manage, track and document internal titrations percentages & the proper separation of chemicals during storage.
• Proficient with reinforcing that everything has a place and at the end of use, everything is cleaned and stored in its proper place (ensure that all sanitation closets, storage areas, barns and cages are always neat, clean, organized and secured at all times).
• Designated back up to the supervisor.

Requirements – Education/Skills/Knowledge

• High school diploma, G.E.D or extensive previous knowledge in food manufacturing sanitation.
• Willingness to learn and consistently execute those learning to expectations.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, sanitation programs, and the importance of validation and verifications programs.
• Clear and concise understanding of why sanitation for food is important in food manufacturing.
