Job Description – Reading Interventionist
The Reading Interventionist position is a salaried, exempt position with a 10-month work schedule. This position will report to the Principal.
Overall Responsibilities
The Reading Interventionist will observe and coach teachers and teacher assistants on a regular basis in literacy. This person should be knowledgeable about the Science of Reading and Phonics Instructions. Monitor and maintain google spreadsheets to track spelling grades data. Give model lessons in literacy, as needed. Create and deliver occasional PD sessions and other necessary training to improve literacy-related instruction and may include Well-Ordered Language.

- Support the vision, policies, financial objectives and directives of the governing board.
- Support a positive school culture based on mutual respect and shared expectations.
- Be willing to assist others as needed.
Qualifications
- The minimum educational requirement for this job is a Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other industry-specific technology.
- The ability to communicate effectively and problem solve in a fast-paced environment is critical to the success in this position.
