Medical Receptionist
Jaffrey Eye Care is looking for a full-time (32-36 hours) Medical Receptionist to manage our front desk and greet patients. This position is responsible for all aspects of patient care and scheduling, as well as insurance verification and coordination. The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills, as well as knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Document and update medical records
- Update insurance information
- Verify insurance
- Maintain patient lists
- Manage patient payments
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping
- Schedule follow-up appointments
- Resolve any issues that come up during the visit or with after the visit ( complaints, referrals, etc)
Desired Experience and Education
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience in medical office is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and administration of care is preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
