Our Delivery Solution Architect role is a customer-facing role. You will serve as a hands-on advisor, with strong interpersonal skills, solution and/or technical knowledge, product knowledge, industry experience, and consulting experience. They will be adept at collaboratingwith various internal and external organizations, working cross-functionally regularly and interacting with clients, internal stakeholder, and SMEs. They will utilize their expertise in identifying customer pain points and defining technical solutions that solve our customers' individual needs.
Preferred candidates will be skilled at identifying customer pain points and translating those into technical solutions to solve company problems. The Solution Architect will be deeply involved in daily work cross functionally, regularly interacting with both client and internal stakeholders and subject matter experts. In addition to leading the technical delivery of outstanding JAGGAER solutions for our clients, there is a level of Professional Services pre-sales responsibilities required to work with our Software PreSales team and our clients to scope out the high-level technical solutions required to meet their specific objectives. Principal Responsibilities
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:
• Streamline delivery by ensuring technical feasibility and optimization of design• Engage with stakeholders both within Professional Services and cross functionally to update processes and documentation• Drive organization-wide process optimization• Evaluate existing and emerging technologies/new products on a regular basis• Participate in NPI process• Provide feedback cross functionally to improve solution delivery
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop an understanding of our existing JAGGAER solutions and IT infrastructure to provide guidance on the best path to deliver client solutions
- Identify, manage, interpret, and document customer requirements; speak with customers to understand expectations; negotiate solutions to sophisticated problems with both the customer and third-party partners; anticipate and meet their needs
- Own the hands-on development of “as is / to be” process models, solution architecture diagrams, and comprehensive solution design documents
- Serve as a project delivery team leader and advisor on the design and implementation solutions spanning multiple business processes and JAGGAER solutions
- Ensure that recommended solutions can be successfully implemented across JAGGAER’s diverse customer base and technical landscape.
- Communicate with technical and business team members from all levels through C-suite.
- Connect with subject matter experts to identify and mitigate problem areas
- Interact cross-functionally with members of the Sales, Pre-Sales, Engineering, and Product Management teams
- Engage with stakeholders both within Professional Services and cross-functionally to update processes and documentation
- Work with Customer Success and Product Management teams to ensure solutions are driving the most effective achievement of customer value objectives.
- Recommend product additions and enhancements based on customer feedback and competitive analysis
Position Requirements
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven work experience as a Professional Services Delivery Solution Architect or similar role (Principal Solution Consultant or Technical Consultant)
- Previous project management experience a plus
- Understanding of process optimization and deployment
- In-depth understanding of SaaS technologies and solution landscape
- Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases
- Strong interpersonal and client- facing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective organizational and leadership skills
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred
- Authority level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
- Experience leading discovery sessions, defining business requirements, writing user stories and providing detailed system and functional designs
- Strong presentation skills; able to optimally present a point of view and clearly articulate the rationale to a variety of team members
- Detail-oriented with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
- A great listener with the ability to communicate with people in diverse roles
- requiring professional communication skills to a variety of roles within customer organizations from technical system engineers to senior management.
