Sales Associate

Job Summary:
James Chevrolet in Johnstown, New York is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our sales team as a New and Used Car Sales Associate. This is a full-time, salary position in the auto industry, responsible for driving sales and providing outstanding customer service to our valued customers. The role offers a competitive compensation package and the opportunity for growth within the company.

Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $40,000 to $125,000 per year, paid biweekly. In addition to the salary, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement options.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Build relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations
- Conduct test drives and demonstrate vehicle features and benefits
- Answer customer questions and provide information about financing options
- Negotiate pricing and finalize sales transactions with customers
- Coordinate with the finance department to ensure completion of paperwork and payment processes
- Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain knowledge of current inventory, promotions, and dealership policies
- Meet and exceed sales targets and goals set by the dealership

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in automotive sales or a related field
- Strong customer service, communication, and negotiation skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
