Job Duties
The custodian position at the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation resides in the Facilities Management Department and is responsible for performing custodial maintenance duties but not limited to- dusting, mopping, vacuuming, windows, trash removal, cleaning and restocking restrooms.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of cleaning methods and use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, supplies, and safety practices related to work.
Working skills in operating manual and power cleaning equipment.
Demonstrated ability to read and follow cleaning label instructions, follow oral instructions, perform a variety of cleaning tasks, tolerate contact with cleaning products and solutions.
Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects, to stand for extended periods, and to perform manual labor.
Special emphasis on "customer first" service provided in accordance with guidelines outlined by the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation.
Ability to fully embrace the Housekeeping Model per the direction of Senior Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor and Facilities Manager.
