The Floor Care Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and longevity of floors in various commercial environments. This role includes cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing hard surface floors such as tile, vinyl, concrete, and stone. The technician also ensures the proper use and maintenance of floor care equipment, chemicals, and supplies. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine and deep cleaning of floors using specialized equipment (auto scrubbers, buffers, etc.).
- Stripping and waxing floors to maintain shine and durability.
- Operating machinery safely and adhering to company and OSHA safety standards.
- Identifying and addressing floor care needs to preserve a clean and professional environment.
- Ensuring that floors meet the cleanliness standards set by the company and client.
- Keeping records of floor care tasks and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in floor care is preferred.
- Ability to operate floor care machinery.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends.
To ensure the health and wellbeing of our clients: Daily maintain and clean offices, lobbies, restrooms and other work areas by emptying trash cans and collecting recyclables, dusting, sweeping and moping.
- Floor care work schedules are 2nd shift and are typically from 7pm to 3am, Sunday through Thursday
