What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restorative/Treatment RN position at JASPER GENERAL HOSPITAL?
Responsibilities:
- Develop a restorative care plan for each resident according to specific resident needs.
- Evaluate on an ongoing basis of resident response to plan of care by direct observation of treatment.
- Review and update care plans as needed. At least monthly, review the individual resident's progress and the continues need for restorative care.
- Assist the Restorative CNAs with resident transfers, ambulation, range of motion and other restorative needs as needed.
- Recommend equipment and supplies needed for the performance of restorative care.
- Be capable of working as medication nurse, treatment nurse or supervisor as the need arises.
- Assist with the MDS and the Total Care Plan meetings as indicated.
- Identify, manage and treat specific skin conditions.
- Provide wound care on assigned residents, in accordance with physician orders.
- Complete thorough and accurate wound assessments.
- Document resident care problems, abnormal findings and changes in resident's condition.
- Monitor implementation of preventive measures.
- Provide status reports to Director of Nursing.
- Included in the RN on call rotation.
Education and /or work Requirements:
- Registered Nurse; previous experience preferred
- CPR certified
