Field Security Supervisor

JOB TITLE : FIELD SECURITY SUPERVISOR

POSITIONS AVAILABLE : Full-Time

COMPENSATION : $22.00 TO $25.00 per hour based on experience

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB FUNCTIONS DESCRIPTION :

The Security Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services as assigned. The Security Supervisor will act as a liaison between the Lead Security Guard, Site Supervisor, Account Manager / Field Operations Manager and professional security officers.

Will supervise staff on assigned shift(s), providing coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.

Will work shifts / sites if no other coverage is available. Will be responsible for scheduling guards and addressing late shifts and call-offs.

REQUIRMENTS :

• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of professional-level experience required and prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement and / or military highly desired.
• Experience in scheduling, operations, and other functions of security industry.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
• Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
• This position requires excellent attendance and punctuality. Incumbents must commit to being on time, must be able to work in a very independent environment, and ensure all directions and instructions from the corporate office are followed consistently and thoroughly (such as delivery of items to client sites, training of officers at sites, standing post as needed, etc.).
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required.
• The ability to write effective and concise reports in neat, legible handwriting is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player required.
• Pass an extensive background check and drug screen
• Must have reliable transportation (an automobile preferred)
• Ability to work in culturally diverse settings
• Have flexibility in scheduling to include nights, overnights, weekends and holidays

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Military Veteran
• Prior law enforcement
• Denver Security Guard License

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS :

Officers must be able to observe, walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretching or drive for extended periods of time in various weather conditions.

Ability to run, climb stairs, and carry fire extinguishers or other emergency equipment. Help restrain or lift a person;

occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus;

frequently required to use hands, handle or feel objects or controls.

TIME COMMITMENT :

The start and end dates and hourly commitment of the position are flexible and can be adjusted based on business / management’s needs.
