Job Summary:
Are you interested in working with older adults and managing a case load of consumers to assure availability of services? The JCAAA is seeking a Protective Service Worker to work in a team-oriented environment to understand and help the needs of older adults. JCAAA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Responsibilities:
· Maintain caseload of Protective Service cases
· Investigate allegations of physical abuse, caregiver neglect, self-neglect, sexual abuse, verbal abuse, exploitation and abandonment
· Perform field assessments to determine program eligibility
· Assist consumers in completing applications for assistance as required
· Provides back-up for internal support as requested
Required Skills:
· Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
· Intermediate expertise with Microsoft Office suite and/or other computer assessment tool
· Excellent communication/writing skills
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Ability to work independently
· Previous Crisis training or experience preferred
Required Experience
· Bachelor’s degree with 12 credits in Psychology, Sociology, or social welfare, or other related social sciences
· Concentration or minor in gerontology is a plus
· One or more years of experience as a case manager is Required
· One or more years of experience working with the aging population is preferred.
