Jeju Noodle Bar, the first Michelin-starred ramyun restaurant in the United States, is seeking an experienced Sommelier to join our team. We are looking for a dedicated wine professional who can elevate our beverage program and provide an exceptional guest experience through thoughtful wine pairings and expert service.

Position: Sommelier
The Sommelier will be responsible for curating and maintaining a wine list that complements our flavor-driven menu while ensuring an engaging and educational experience for our guests. This role requires a deep understanding of wine and beverage pairings, as well as the ability to communicate knowledgeably and enthusiastically with guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Wine Selection & Pairing: Assist guests in navigating the wine list, providing expert recommendations tailored to our menu.
- Service & Hospitality: Deliver a seamless, high-touch dining experience with professionalism and warmth.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with servers and bartenders to integrate the wine program into the overall guest experience.
- Education & Training: Lead ongoing training sessions for staff to enhance their wine knowledge and service skills.
- Inventory Management: Oversee wine inventory, ordering, and proper storage to maintain quality and availability.
- Guest Engagement: Foster an inviting and approachable wine culture that enhances the overall dining experience.
Qualifications
- Certified Sommelier (or equivalent professional experience).
- Strong knowledge of both classic and emerging wine regions, with an appreciation for pairing wines with Korean-inspired cuisine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage guests and staff in an approachable and informative manner.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a fine dining or Michelin-starred setting preferred.
