What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Designee position at Jerome Home?
Arbor Rose has an immediate position for an RN Designee to join our nursing team for our Assisted Living residents. The full-time position offers a competitive salary and a full range of benefits. Your schedule is full time days with an every other weekend or every third weekend commitment depending on the needs of our residents.
Arbor Rose was established in 2008 is a 82 Apartment Assisted Living Facility located in New Britain, CT. Established under the will executed by Augustus Jerome, Arbor Rose is a privately-owned, not-for-profit organization. Our Assisted Living Facility includes Independent, Assisted and Memory Care living for seniors.
A sign on bonus of $2000 is being offered for this full-time position. The bonus will be paid out over a one year period.
We have several on-line programs currently being used by our staff:
- Matrix is used as our EMR.
- Paycom is our on-line scheduling program. At the click of a button, you can request time off or request to pick up a shift. You can also send email/text notification to request coverage of an open shift.
- Paycom is our on-line education program. Classes are assigned via email for you to complete in the allotted time at your own pace.
- Paycom is our online payroll system. We are all direct deposit and you are able to view your check right online. In addition, we communicate to staff through this system.
The primary purpose of your job position is to:
- Serve as designee in the absence of the Wellness Director (SALSA) and shall be able to provide relief for the (SALSA) as needed.
- Work in conjunction with the Wellness Director (SALSA) assisting, directing planning and coordinating services for providing optimal person centered care to the residents.
- Serve as the ALSAs Infection Preventionist along with the SALSA
- Obtain Infection Preventionist Training Certificate.
- Development of the client service program and instructions for assisted living aide services.
- Coordination of services with the client, family and other appropriate individuals involved in the client service program.
- Medication administration and delegation of supervision of self-administered medication as listed.
The successful candidate
- Must possess a valid CT RN License from an accredited college or university
- Must have experience as an RN in homecare, Assisted Living, SNF or other related medical facility.
- Must have ability to work with our older/dementia population.
