Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Maintain stock levels by organizing shelves, restocking items, and conducting inventory checks.
- Provide product demonstrations and share knowledge about features and benefits to enhance customer understanding.
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items based on customer needs.
- Supervise junior staff members, ensuring they adhere to store policies and provide excellent customer service.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, fostering a welcoming environment.
Skills
- Proficient in basic math for handling transactions and managing cash.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing payments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Experience in stock management, including organizing and replenishing inventory.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a retail environment.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to engage customers through effective communication and product knowledge during demos.
