Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that products are handled safely and effectively.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and managing orders.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Handle materials with care to prevent damage during transportation.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and order pickers.
• Experience in shipping and receiving processes, as well as materials handling.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines consistently.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
