We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership and ensure the successful development and delivery of high-quality, reliable systems that meet both customer needs and business goals.
Location: Northern California. The company will assist with relocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams in defining system requirements, architecture, and functional decomposition.
- Apply systems engineering principles to develop cost-effective solutions with a focus on reliability, safety, and performance.
- Guide system integration and verification processes, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Champion the adoption of best practices in systems engineering, usability, and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 7 years of experience in systems engineering, including experience with complex systems that combine software, hardware, and fluidic subsystems.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive projects to completion.
- Strong understanding of risk management, system modeling, and customer-focused design.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a regulated environment, including ISO and risk management standards.
- Familiarity with product development processes in the medical or biotech industries.
- Expertise in system integration, statistical methods, and human factors engineering.
