Job Responsibilities:
- · Communicate with Vendors on billing related items.
- · Maintain cordial working relationships with trades, while also processing and ensuring trade compliance via contracts, insurance, and pricing schedules.
- · Process VPO requests from the field for extra material and other variance requests as approved by construction manager.
- · Assist in providing feedback and identifying opportunities to improve takeoffs and budgets based on VPOs.
- · Review change orders as they are processed and ensure system, internal team, and trade base are aware of anything applicable to them regarding the changes that are being made.
- · Assist with options management- specification, and selections descriptions reflect what we are currently offering.
- · Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services
- · Help with any additional duties of the purchasing department
- · Assist with conducting takeoffs and takeoff adjustments
- · Coordinating with accounting to resolve purchase order and invoice related issues
- · Requesting and tracking Bids from Vendors
- · Assist with entering and upkeeping pricing and vendor information in Buildertrend
- · Providing backup for PO creation for the Division
- · Updating projects vendor lists
- · Daily communication with internal teams and vendors via phone, email, and Teams
Qualifications:
- · Minimum 2 year of previous purchasing and/or construction experience.
- · Experience that demonstrates high attention to detail and customer service (this role has many internal and external customers).
- · Experience that demonstrates ability to process high volume with accuracy strongly preferred
- · Must be able to keep up and stay level-headed; ability to work independently and prioritize between tasks; take pride and ownership of work; team player but works well alone (the environment is open (cubicle style)
- · Regular/Reliable attendance
- · Proficiency with MS Office and email
- · Experience working in Buildertrend is a plus
