Credit Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Specialist to join our Credit and Collections team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of credit analysis This role is essential in assessing creditworthiness, negotiating terms, and providing financial forecasts to support our lending operations.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit analysis to evaluate the financial stability of potential borrowers.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure favorable credit agreements.
- Maintain application status log by logging in new sales applications and noting if the account was approved or denied.
- Prepare monthly reports for all divisions on number if new accounts processed, approved, denied or pending.
- Responsible for processing request for credit line increases from existing customers by reviewing the existing credit files, obtain payment history from the collectors, obtain credit reports, and additional credit information.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to credit applications.

Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient in spelling and grammar required.
- Excellent customer service.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks performed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
