We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Compensation Manager to join our team. This role is integral to our organization as we believe that our employees are our most valuable asset. The Compensation Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the planning, development, implementation, and administration of our company's compensation programs. This includes designing competitive compensation packages and bonus programs that fit our company's strategy and goals, analyzing and reporting on compensation-related data, and ensuring that our compensation programs adhere to current legislation.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage salary classification and compensation programs
- Conduct analysis of compensation and benefits within the company
- Ensure that the company's pay scale complies with changing state and federal laws and regulations
- Prepare detailed job descriptions and classification systems and define job levels and families, in partnership with other HR staff
- Analyze and present compensation data and reports to identify trends, forecast costs, and support decision making
- Collaborate with HR and leadership in the development of performance review and reward systems
- Regularly review and update the company's pay structure and benefits offerings
- Research and analyze competitive compensation practices in the job market
- Develop and deliver training to HR and management on compensation-related topics
- Manage relationships with HRIS vendors and consultants to ensure the company is utilizing the most up-to-date and relevant compensation tools and technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Compensation Management or a similar role
- Knowledge of HRIS and compensation benchmarking systems
- Excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of statistical analysis
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to company leaders
- Strong knowledge of federal and state compensation laws and regulations
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work product
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while still delivering high-quality results
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
