Job Details

• Previous experience architecting / leading Cloud native application development.
• Secure coding experience. Ability to write and review code and ensure it meets best practices.

background in development using Java / Spring / Postgres (DB) / GCP / Angular

Specific Job Responsibilities

• Write code, tools, and features, and work with product engineering teams to improve our products by conveying feedback to developers, reviewing API designs, and testing new features
• Ensure best practices and patterns are being implemented for cloud products
• Provide technical direction to team members to develop, test and implement the solution as per the design and within the specified timelines
• Provide the development team with architectural blueprints to follow
• Work closely with customer experience and sales to ingest user feedback from the field
• Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
• Supervise the software development process by working with the dev teams and enforcing a secure Software Development Lifecycle for the duration of the product development phase including updates
• Participate in technical reviews of requirements, designs, code, and other artifacts
• Identify and keep abreast of new technical concepts in google cloud platform
• Assist third party developers in troubleshooting their integrations with Google APIs and use of other Google developer products
• Handle critical, time-sensitive incidents of high impact to the company and perform post-mortem to analyze gaps and identify optimizations to products, policies and processes
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science / Software Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of product development or software engineering experience, ideally in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Node.js.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design & implementation of distributed applications
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Cloud computing to include large scale implementations and CI/CD
• Experience in establishing Google Cloud Platform (or other cloud platforms) foundational environments including network and security for production environments
• Experience with security architecture and best practice implementations for GCP (or other cloud platforms)
• Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture
• Stellar communication skills and presentation experience
• Ability to think strategically and act tactically
• Natural enthusiasm and ability to learn cutting edge technologies
