Position Overview
Jobs for America’s Graduates-Kansas is looking for an Accounting Intern who will have an opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience and learn about the various aspects of the accounting function at JAG-Kansas. This position will be exposed to real-world learning opportunities. The position is 15-20 hours weekly and will work directly under the supervision of the Accountant, but will assist other members of the accounting team. JAG-K will work around the student’s classroom schedule.

Position Competencies
- Perform accounting duties in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger financial transactions
- Increase knowledge of technological platforms to become an effective user of financial systems
- Assist the Finance Team in the preparation of weekly/monthly reports
- Assist with miscellaneous accounting projects as needed
- Perform administrative duties including scanning and shredding as needed, as well as other duties assigned by the Accounting/Finance Team
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership in work and/or academics
- Ability to analyze and problem solve
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Technology proficient including, virtual meeting platforms, Microsoft platforms, and various data management programs
- Applicants must be pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
