We are a multifaceted Biologics Discovery organization, with a diverse and focused team of scientists committed to bringing the next generation of biotherapeutic molecules to patients.We are looking for a highly motivated Scientist to drive internal and external efforts for membrane protein expression and optimization, purification, and production and characterization for supporting a robust biotherapeutics pipeline. The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular biology, protein biochemistry and cell biology. Applicants having a demonstrated track record with membrane protein production and purification will be most desirable.The successful candidate should be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-team environment while supporting various programs across several different therapeutic areas. Additional knowledge in biologics discovery, immunology, oncology, or other human diseases would be a plus. Prior industry experience is advantageous but not required.Key Responsibilities:

• Support membrane protein expression and optimization, and purification.
• Conduct protein production, purification and characterization.
• Characterization and quality check of membrane proteins to support biotherapeutics development.
• Utilize expertise in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and cell biology.
• Collaborate effectively in a multi-team environment.
• Support various programs across different therapeutic areas.
• Contribute to both internal and external efforts in membrane protein production.

QualificationsEducation:

• Minimum of BS Degree with a minimum of 4 years of academic/industry experience or MS Degree with a minimum of 2 years is required.
  
  

Experience and Skills:Required:

• Knowledge of protein expression construct design and optimization, and expression platforms
• Experience with protein purification and understanding of analytical characterization to determine quality, conformation, purity and stability
• Experience with mammalian and/or insect cell culture
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external partners
  
  

Preferred:

• Experience with membrane protein expression and optimization, purification, and characterization of proteins
• Proficient in protein purification optimization, detergent screening, and reconstitutions into lipid nanodiscs
• Experience in independently operating AKTA FPLC and analytical HPLC instruments
• Experience in generating DNA/RNA constructs and or other tools as antigen for supporting antibody discovery
• Knowledge and experience with CROs for protein production
