HANDWELDER INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Welding Supervisor and the Welding Lead. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities. Performs duties associated with all areas of welding parts for production.

HANDWELDER AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:
- Pull and weld parts to print or specifications.
- Weld to and follow all Work Instructions. (WI)
- Count and label products correctly.
- Rework as assigned, to include grinding.
- Removal of non-conforming material at the end of the shift.
- Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.

HANDWELDER REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous MIG welding experience.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to consistently and on daily basis as required to safely; stand, twist, bend, stoop, reach, kneel.
- Must be able to correctly and safely lift up to 53# with or without the assistance of a lift or device.
- Must be able to wear the required OSHA PPE which may include a respirator.
- Highly dependable, motivated, and self-driven with excellent attendance.
- Ability to follow, understand and strictly abide by the Work Instructions. (WI)
- High level of attention to detail is a must.
- Able to use handheld tools correctly and safely.
- Able to read and write legible as defined by company standards.
- Ability to gain knowledge of company products and comply with quality, environmental and safety policies procedures.
- Ability to gain knowledge and understanding of JOST’S Basic Processes.
- Must pass pre-established requirements for company visual and penetration standards as determined by supervision.
- Must be able to accurately and correctly read and comprehend blueprints.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing setting.
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly and repetitively required to; walk, stand, see, hear, use hands, reach, stoop, bend, twist, and lift or move objects which weigh a minimum of 5# pounds to a maximum 51# pounds with or without assistance.
Salary : $20 - $22
