About the Role:
- We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to oversee critical financial functions for a growing organization with strong community roots and ambitious expansion plans.
- Work closely with the Plant Manager to drive financial accuracy and efficiency.
- We are a leading supplier of premium food products sold to top restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores throughout the Midwest.
- With a long-standing history in the industry, we are rapidly expanding our footprint across the Midwest with plans for continued growth through acquisitions.
- Competitive salary ranging from $90K to $100K

- Conduct variance analysis, manage inventory costs, and oversee cost allocation processes to maintain efficiency.
- Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and standards.
- Create accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support budgeting efforts by analyzing financial data and providing actionable insights.
- Assist in preparing audit schedules and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth audits.
- Monitor adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations in financial operations.
- Work with financial and ERP systems to streamline processes and enhance internal controls.
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related major is required.
- 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably from a manufacturing environment and or public accounting experience.
- Prefer experience in food manufacturing or distribution
- Cost accounting experience is a plus
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial software.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly.
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
