We are seeking a IT Systems and Network Team Lead to manage and enhance our technology infrastructure in a fast-paced food distribution environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with expertise in network and IT systems administration who is ready to take ownership of both day-to-day operations and larger strategic projects. Our ideal candidate brings technical skill, leadership ability, and a passion for keeping critical systems running seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
Network & Systems Administration: Oversee and participate in maintaining our network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, servers, and key business applications.
Help Desk & User Support: Handle help desk tickets alongside your team, providing efficient support for network, hardware, and essential software issues.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and develop a small IT team by example, promoting a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
Security & Compliance: Manage network security with firewalls, VPNs, and access controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Onsite Leadership: Be present onsite daily to provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Environment & Tools:
Infrastructure: We operate with a combination of Cisco and Juniper equipment, Microsoft-based systems, and Active Directory for identity management.
Security & Monitoring: Firewalls, VPNs, and security monitoring tools, alongside network monitoring solutions like SolarWinds and Nagios.
Support Software: Utilize help desk software to manage and resolve tickets in alignment with team performance goals.
Qualifications:
5 years of IT experience in network/system administration, with a strong foundation in both technical expertise and team leadership.
Direct experience with network infrastructure, user support, and network security practices.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network ) are welcomed in lieu of a college degree.
A player-coach mentality with strong troubleshooting skills, ready to work directly alongside your team.
Excellent communication and team-building skills, with a commitment to supporting smooth operations in a high-energy setting.
