Depending on the project, the Camera Operator / Assistant Camera is responsible for picking up and inspecting gear, building out cameras, filming scenes on set, obtaining production stills and media, and assisting the Director of Photography A great attitude and willingness to help are a high priority! Duties/Responsibilities:

• Obtain, secure, and inspect all camera gear and media for shoot. Notify Producer and Gear team if anything is missing.
• Obtain enough media for shoot.
• Build out A-cam and B-cam once on set.
• Shoot video portraits of specific characters as well as B-scenes.
• Take high-quality, non-blurred stills for each day of filming. No crew should be in these stills.
• Assist DP with any requests.
• Turn in media to Producer at the end of every shoot day.
• Responsible for ensuring gear is secured INSIDE a locked building in between shoot days.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication skills (specifically, knowledge of film production lingo).
• Excellent ability to work under pressure and interact in a professional and ethical manner.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of production experience required.
• Ability to work daily and/or weekend and overtime on an as-needed basis, with short-notice.
• Ability to work in inclement weather.
• Must be willing to travel to different places in/and around Knoxville.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to assist in occasional moving of equipment of approximately 50 pounds
