Associate DVM for Cat ONLY Practice

Just Cats is a well-established, full-service, feline exclusive veterinary hospital serving Guilderland, NY and the surrounding areas. We are seeking a full-time Associate DVM to join and collaborate with our expanding team!

Over the years we have built a great culture and work together to provide excellent patient care and customer service in an ever-growing niche of veterinary care. In addition to licensure and DEA credentials, a successful candidate will have a growth mindset embracing new technology services, and in regarding to personal and interpersonal relationships. Candidates should possess proficiency in veterinary and internal medicine, case management, oral surgery, and interpreting radiographs and various diagnostics. Candidates with a willingness to share their knowledge, experience, and compassion with our patients, clients, and team preferred.

We have an incredible mentor program tailored to the specific needs of the mentee. Graduates spend at least a full month shadowing doctors including our medical director who is a DAVBP (Feline). Those with less experience will never work alone in their first 6 months as another vet will always be on staff in the same office. Once able to work independently, you will have the added support of our highly skilled, veteran technical team, whose knowledge and loyalty are a testament to the strong support system we have at Just Cats.

Time spent outside of work with family or friends is important to maintain a solid work/life balance. Just Cats has limited evening hours, and we request only one weekend on call/month for our boarding kitties. Experience:

• DVM license in the state of NY
• DEA Certification
• 2 years veterinary and internal medicine experience
• 5 years' leadership experience
• Excellent case management and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong oral surgery skills
• Experience interpreting radiographs and various diagnostics.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $86,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
