Process Operator/Forklift 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
Shift Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm
2nd Shift Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm1st
3rd Shift Mon-Fri 9pm-5am
No Felonies.
Essential Functions:
A. Set up (assembles and disassembles), operate, adjust and clean equipment to produce seasoning products and to package these finished goods according to quality, GMP, safety and sanitation standards. Operations may include blending, compounding, and filling/packing procedures.
B. Locate, prep, transfer and load materials to be processed; transfer WIP or finished product to filling operation, additional processing operations, storage or shipping area. Verify raw materials, intermediate materials, packaging materials and/or label specifications against process orders or other stated work instructions.
C. Ensures all applicable process and food safety controls are effectively monitored, including but not limited to, weight control and critical control points (CCP’s).
D. Prepare packing materials (drums, boxes, bags, totes); and stack, palletize or stage containers for transfer.
E. Where applicable, draw samples for testing per product specs. Confer with lab technicians and supervision and make adjustments to the process to bring the product within specifications.
F. Complete necessary paperwork for production/lab records, food safety and inventory levels.
G. Where applicable, operate lift truck to convey raw materials to production areas and operate lift truck to convey intermediate materials, finished goods and/or production refuse from production areas. Complete appropriate training for lift truck operation.
H. Act as replacement for any area in the department, based on individual skills and abilities, to cover for vacancies or production demands. Complete all essential training specific to job function. Performs all other duties as assigned according to skills and abilities.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent. Six to twelve months’ related experience desired. Requires attention to detail and good basic math skills to calculate % solutions, metric conversions, and inventory reconciliation. Must be proficient in the reading, writing and speaking of English language. Proficient at forklift operation is desired.
Skills & Abilities
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to interpret bar graphs. Self motivated individual willing to perform hard work, able to work in group or alone. Must be able to pass a forklift certification class.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
