Who We Are Looking For:
Are you the Residential Director we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our clients!
The Butler Center provides comprehensive treatment for boys (ages 12-21) with emotional and mental health diagnoses. Our staff support these boys in developing and practicing strategies that will enable them to manage their behavior.
Treatment is delivered by a multidisciplinary team comprised of licensed clinicians, educators (with certification in Special Education), and specially trained Youth Counselors the goal of enabling the boys in our service to return safely to the community.
Salary: $60,000
Schedule: Monday 2nd shift, Tuesday 2nd shift, Wednesday 1st shift, Thursday 1st shift, Friday 2nd shift
Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.
JRI Provides The Training So That:
- YOU will be able to oversight of the Residential Department with the Senior Residential Department members and provide care and treatment of our students.
- YOU will be able to ensure all Residential systems are being followed and completed on a daily basis and provide on call coverage.
- YOU will be able to ensure that residential program schedules are well designed and implemented, including adequate time for ADLs, chores, evening and weekend activates.
- YOU will ensure that the residential admissions process is followed, including orientation to the program routines and rules, and check of belongings.
- YOU will be able to provide constant oversight of scheduling procedures; staffing ratios are being met at all times and provide accountability and disciplinary action decisions as needed for all Residential Staff.
- YOU will function as a member of the Administrative Team, providing input into problem solving and process design. Work as a team member, maintain flexible and positive attitude in team process.
- YOU will be able to lead residential meetings and trainings, and runs residential shifts when needed.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Bachelor degree in a human services field preferred
- At least five years direct and supervisory experience in the provision of residential services in a residential adolescent setting preferred.
- Knowledgeable of the needs of specialized populations of adolescents; understanding of the range of interventions and treatment required by this population. At least two years of hardware secure treatment supervisory experience
- Ability to be certified in DYS Crisis Intervention Model
- On call responsibilities, at times you will be required to work overtime.
- Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
- Must have access to transportation.
- Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications.
- Ability to independently plan and organize one’s own schedule and activities to successfully complete all required tasks.
- Knowledge of Microsoft computer systems.
