Are you the Transition Coordinator/Clinician we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth!
Granite Academy is a dynamic day school for middle and high school-aged students who have emotional and psychiatric issues that complicate schooling, social interactions, and family life. Our staff provide flexible, individualized programming and are dedicated to meeting the needs of our students, their families, and the public school systems.
We have an 11- month school year (202 days) and are located on a beautiful campus in Braintree, MA. Our team works with students individually and in small groups to support their full engagement in academic, vocational, social, and recreational activities that promote skill development, emotional well-being, and movement towards graduation.
JRI Provides The Training So That:
- YOU will work directly with students and support classrooms, focusing on mental health, functional and vocational issues with the goal of maximizing academic achievement, social development and the realization of individual goals.
- YOU will design and run classes for students in grades 9-12 that focus on learning "real life" skills that match their developmental level. In addition this position may include a small clinical caseload.
- YOU will identify important therapeutic issues and summarize them in documentation and presentations.
- YOU will attend and participate in IEP meetings and engage parents/guardians on all issues impacting school progress.
- YOU will provide classroom support and assist with classroom behavior including setting limits and offering therapeutic strategies.

Requirements:
- Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in a related field. Independent License preferred.
- Candidate should have strong communication skills and be able to interact with students, families, and collaterals in a positive manner.
- At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our youth.
