What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dimensional Management Engineer position at JVIS USA?
SUMMARY: The Dimensional Engineer is primarily responsible for developing and managing the scope, timing and cost of metrology systems infrastructure required for current, new and/or mid cycle models. Reports directly to the Director of Engineering.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following.
Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards
Manage project schedules while collaborating with other teams on project deliverables.
Analyze dimensional build objectives and ensure objectives are addressed.
Participate throughout the part development process to ensure dimensional criteria meet build objectives.
Creation of GD&T (CAD – NX software).
Gage build leader – working with Gage source to ensure gage design meets GD&T requirements. Gage review and approval with customer.
Develop and verify component dimensional tolerances based on previous programs/components.
Leading of the customer dimensional approvals through product life cycle.
CMM dimensional analysis and dimensional approvals, Gage R&R.
Maintain overall schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems.
Documentation creation for customer build events as required.
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
Extensively interact with Metrology teams including engineers and metrology operators to provide solutions.
Engage in continuous improvement opportunities as required.
Maintain compliance of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
Follows all safety, housekeeping (5S) and company policies and procedures.
Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and job assignments as required.

Experience in Dimensional Control Plan processes and reporting. Extensive knowledge of CMM, blue light scanners, laser trackers and or laser radar technology.
