Truck Shop Crew Leader
We currently have an opening for a Truck Shop Crew Leader at our Warrick, IN location. The leadership role requires excellent communication and organization skills to engage and maintain good morale and output among your team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing/maintaining a strong partnership with the Asset Owners of the area, planning and leading the maintenance execution function and coordinating/scheduling future work with Departments.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Daily environmental, health and safety responsibilities for the crew(s)
- Daily management meetings with crews that include human performance fundamentals and high-risk task pre-job safety reviews
- Develop planned and scheduled work within the CMMS for future mobile equipment activities to improve work force productivity
- Eliminate potential delays and obstacles to efficient work execution through coordinated availability of resources, parts and material, equipment access and ensuring thorough backlog management within the CMMS
- Direct day to day work execution for the craft(s) and PM compliance follow-up and execution
- Compliance with EHS standards and practices, and results for all maintenance activities
- Supervise hourly employees; plan and coordinate efforts with Departments
- Labor relations activities including responses to grievances and day to day labor interface
- Develop and manage process improvement projects utilizing ABS principles
- Monitor Departmental safety, quality, cost performance and provide leadership and support to enhance desired performance and behavior
- Establish performance and behavioral expectations
- Please note that off-shift work may be required; typical schedule would be Monday - Friday; some weekend work required or on call
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of fleet maintenance leadership experience with some technical education beyond high school
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft office and web-based applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Maintenance Planning experience with CMMS
- Associates or Tech School Degree in a technical discipline
- Heavy industrial vehicle maintenance experience/education
