Assistant Plant Manager

The position of Assistant Plant Manager (APM) is a challenging position in a fast paced, pallet recycling facility designed to sort, repair, store, receive and ship pallets from CHEP. The position requires excellent communication skills, computer skills, strong leadership ability, and the ability to motivate and direct a diverse workforce. The (APM) will be responsible for up to 50 hourly and clerical employees that are engaged in the sortation, repair, painting, disposing, shipping and receiving pallets. The APM position reports directly to the plant manager.

The APM is responsible for achieving objectives, budgets, Standard Work Practices, production standards, scheduling of personnel, quality, shipping and receiving, daily inventory management, safety, and sanitation/housekeeping requirements. The position requires the APM to occasionally fill in for limited periods of time to on production equipment, hostling, and operation of a forklift. The APM must be available to work shifts with starting times around the clock including weekends and holidays. The APM is responsible for employee discipline.

12. Oversee the management of the preventative maintenance of all equipment

16. Facility Inspections

ACCOUNTING FUNCTIONS
1. Budget compliance

4. Payroll reconciliation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
