Parcel Delivery Driver

URGENTLY HIRING!

Kanata Carriers is urgently hiring Package Delivery Drivers in Hunker, PA.

Drivers report to the a local National Parcel Service Depot and will be delivering in the Hunker area in step vans and sprinter vans provided by the employer.

We are looking for self-motivated, safe drivers who will provide outstanding service to our customers.

Starting pay: $18/hr

We are presently seeking applications for full-time and part-time (on-call possible) drivers.

These are non-CDL vehicles.

HOURS: approximate 8AM (schedule to be arranged at offer) to delivery completion (Avg of 135 stops per day)

SCHEDULE: dynamic schedule within the 7 days of the week

WHAT WE OFFER:

• Biweekly paycheck - Direct deposit every 2 weeks on Friday

• Schedule - operate 7 days per week, drivers work 4-5 days per week up to 40 hours per week
• Safety focused operation - quarterly performance incentive for safe operation

WHAT IS EXPECTED:

• Deliver and/or pickup all packages/parcels daily in the timeframes prescribed by the company.
• Ensure that you complete pre/post trip daily safety inspections of your vehicle.
• Conduct yourself safely in the operation of your vehicle and provide competent service.
• Grow routine competence in your routing and customer operations.
• Report to the station on-time, prepared to work to the required standard daily.
• Ensure that you safely load, unload and secure parcels of varying dimensions and loads while ensuring to mitigate the potential for injury to yourself, fellow employees, the equipment and the package.

WHAT YOU OFFER:

• Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Have prior delivery vehicle (step-van and/or box truck) experience.
• Live within 30 minutes of the depot region.
• Possess a clean driving record without accident or violation in the prior 3 years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen and criminal record check without issue.
• As this is a physical job, be able to lift, move and carry 50 lbs throughout the day in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to complete approximately 135 stops per day.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
