WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

In this essential Family Support Specialist role, we rely on you to come alongside our clients as you seek to provide essential support services for those struggling with substance abuse. Much of your time is spent focusing on outreach, performing weekly home visits and case management, and completing advocacy work for needed services. Additionally, you work hard to foster positive, trusting relationships with a caseload of 16 clients and their families. You regularly evaluate cases and help develop service plans that effectively meet the social, heath care, and treatments needs of the parents we serve.

On top of working directly with families, you take care of a variety of administrative tasks including administering ongoing assessments to monitor progress and document related data. Further, your robust knowledge of community services helps us to best serve families in our community with housing and treatment options. Finally, you are always looking for ways to grow and develop in your role, so you actively participate in community meetings and collaborate with community partners to ensure we are best serving the needs of those in our care. Your focus on detail and data analysis to ensure we are successfully achieving our goals. If you can do this and meet the following requirements, apply today!

  • Completed bachelor's degree in social work or a human services related field
  • At least 4 years of experience working with at-risk children and families
  • Can conduct interviews with extreme sensitivity and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills

Life experience dealing with substance abuse issues and at least 1 year of experience working with parents that have drug and alcohol issues are highly preferred.
