Candy Maker- Afternoon Shift 2p-11p

We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands 4x from $250MM to $1 B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. We have an opening for a Candy Maker position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth.

A Candy Maker at our candy factory is a vital member of our Production Team, the Candy Maker assists in the creation of our famous confections.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include

• Manually transferring cooled caramel tubs weighing approximately 50 lbs. each repeatedly to production line
• Cleaning and sanitizing the equipment used to make candy;
• Starting and continuing the production line using established guidelines
• Quality control of caramel squares on production line to check for weight & uniformity
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policies
• Tracking inventory using ERP system
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Preform other related duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED;
• Self-directed
• Must be able to read and write English proficiently
• Ability to work well with peers and supervisors
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to keep production lines running efficiently
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Standing for 8-10 hours
• Walking up and down stairs
• Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company.
  
  

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high.
  
  

Afternoons 2 pm to 11pm shift Monday through Friday. Qualified candidates must be willing and able to work daily overtime as well as weekends as needed.

The starting pay rate is $18.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift premium for afternoons.
